Logistics Managers are responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods. They ensure supply chains run efficiently, cost-effectively, and reliably, while leading logistics teams and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Plan and manage transportation, inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Develop strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate logistics staff, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory
standards.
• Monitor logistics performance and implement process improvements.
• Resolve delivery and operational issues to maintain excellent service.
• Experienced in logistics or supply chain management.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficient in logistics software and inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Salary (UK Average):
• Average: £44,900 per year (£23.03 per hour)
• Lower range: £37,300 per year (£19.13 per hour)
Working Hours:
• Full-time position
• 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Occasional flexibility may be required to meet operational needs
Work Location: Based at the company's operational premises with site visits as
required.
